Online Chinese Visa Application Procedure-2025-26

Notice on Launching the China Online Visa Processing System: The China Online Visa Processing System will be officially launched by the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan on June 30, 2025. Applicants could enjoy the convenience of filling out the form and uploading materials online by visiting https://bio.visaforchina.cn. Welcome to visit the website for more details.

         Applicants who have already completed the application form on the current system are required to submit their application documents in person at the CVASC by June 26 (inclusive). The application form of the current system will not be accepted after this date.

        On June 27, the CVASC will not accept new visa applications and will only provide passport collection services.

        Additionally, it is strongly advised not to fill out the online application form between noon on June 27 and 0:00 (midnight) on June 30 to avoid information loss.

        STRONGLY RECOMMENDED FOR ALL APPLICANTS! Before applying for a visa, please read the step-by-step guidance details and prepare all the application documents according to the process. We recommend that applicants apply for a visa one month before their departure and DO NOT purchase a flight ticket before they receive their visa, as any losses incurred will be the responsibility of the applicant.

If you are Chinese, please fill in your Chinese name in column 1.1D Chinese Name on the first page when filling in the application form.

Reminder:

For tourist group visa applicants who are minors, if their parents are travelling together, they must provide a “Family Relationship Certificate” (attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs). If their parents are not travelling together, their parents must provide a “Travel Consent Form” and a “Family Relationship Certificate” (attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

This website is for those who are going to apply for a Chinese visa in ISLAMABAD. 
Please make sure you’ve chosen the correct location. (Check the Upper right corner of the page.)
1. Create an account and sign in. (Check the Upper right corner of the page.)
2. All applicants (excluding those applying for visas to Hong Kong SAR of China and Macao SAR of China) are required to:

    2.1. Complete the Online Visa Application Form.
    2.2. Upload the visa application documents, including passport, photo, and required supporting documents.
    2.3. Click the “Submit” button.

Please note:
a. Click the “Submit” button on the PAY page; otherwise, the status will be PENDING.
b. Online payment is not available now, and please pay when making a submission at the Visa Center after your application has been approved online.
3. Wait for the preliminary check and online approval. (Only after approved online should the passport be submitted at the Visa Centre.)
3.1. You might receive an email stating you should upload additional documents or make other modifications, and the status will be “Rejected.”
    3.2. You might receive a confirmation email when the application has been approved online, and the status will be shown as “Approved.” Please print the email attachment “Visa Application Certificate (bring it to the Visa Center) with other required documents (please check step 2). Please Note: receiving an email confirming online approval of your application does not mean that your visa has been approved!
3.3. The application status can be checked by logging into your account. Please select the correct Created Date; otherwise, the system will display “No Data.”

Special Reminder: Applicants for diplomatic, official, courtesy, and other visas are still requested to submit their applications at the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan.
1. Submit the following materials to the Visa Center (if necessary, you may be asked to provide more documents):
(1) Visa Application Certificate (attached to the Approval email)
(2) Original current passport and old passport (within 5 years)
(3) A passport-sized photo if the uploaded one is indicated as unqualified (taken within the last 6 months, white background, without a hat, in color, small 2-inch size 48 mm × 33 mm).
(4) Original of a previous Chinese passport (if you were previously a Chinese national and are applying for a Chinese visa for the first time);
(5) Other supporting documents as required. Please click here for the details.

For an X1 visa, the required documents are

Common Documents:

Passport valid for more than 6 months with at least one blank visa page.
2. A copy of the passport’s information page.
3. Printout of the Visa Application Form of P.R. China submitted online, including the confirmation page and a digital ID photo.
4. Copy of the front and back of the Pakistan National ID card for Pakistani citizens.
5. Copy of evidence of legal stay or residence in Pakistan for a third-country national, such as a visa, Pakistan Origin Card, etc.
6. Original Chinese passport and a copy of the passport’s information page for the person who was previously a Chinese national and is applying for a Chinese visa for the first time after naturalization in another country.
7. If the applicant’s name is changed and differs from that in a new passport, please provide an official certificate of the name change, which must be apostilled or attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.
8. Police Character Certificate, apostilled or attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.

 Characterized Documents:
1. Printout of Confirmation Form for Study in China (Form JW201 or Form JW202) submitted online.
2. Photocopy of the admission letter from a university or school in China.
3. Evidence of scholarship issuance or proof of financial resources amounting to US$2,500 per academic year or the equivalent in Pakistani rupees. The closing balance of the bank statement of the financial supporter should be enough to cover the student’s whole study year in China.
**If the student holding a valid study residence permit exits China and fails to return to China before the study residence permit expires, the student should provide both the original and a photocopy of a formal letter written by the university or school to prove that the student is continuing the study in China.
**Individuals planning to have a one-year medical internship and participate in the Examination for the Qualifications for Doctors in China, or intending to attend primary and secondary school in China, are required to present relevant supporting documents.

All applicants holding ordinary passports will be requested to have their fingerprints collected. The following applicants can be exempted from fingerprint collection:
(1)   Applicants under the age of 14 or over 70;
(2)  Diplomatic or service passport holders, or applicants eligible for diplomatic, official, and courtesy visas;
(3)  Applicants who already had their fingerprints collected within the past five years at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Jakarta with the same passport;
(4) Missing all ten fingers or unable to provide any of the ten fingerprints;
(5) From September 2, 2024, to December 31, 2025, applicants for short-term visas (staying for less than 180 days) for single or double entries will be exempted from fingerprint collection.

Important notes: If the Chinese Embassy considers that fingerprint collection is still required after review, the Visa Center will inform the applicant.

The Chinese Embassy kindly requests that applicants shall have their fingerprints collected in person. Those who forge fingerprints or use other people’s fingerprints will be denied entry into China and bear all the consequences incurred.
2. Payment
Applicants shall pay the visa fee and service fee at the Visa Center with cash or card.

Please make the collection during office hours at the Visa Center with the original pickup form.
Please note: the date stated on your pickup form is for estimation purposes only.

Submission and payment of applications: 9:00 to 15:00.
Collection: 9:00 to 16:00.
