Financial Benefits of the Chatham House Academy Fellowships 2026-27:

Richard and Susan Hayden Fellowship 2026 in the UK will cover the following expenses:

  • The fellow’s £2,365 monthly stipend pays for all living expenses in London, including housing, utilities, food, transportation, and other necessities.
  • The Academy pays for reasonable expenses associated with:
    • Relocation includes things like flights, trains, other modes of transportation to and from the UK, lodging for three nights, visas, additional cases or boxes, etc.
    • Research, outreach, and dissemination costs, such as fieldwork, travel, conferences, publications, roundtables, events, etc., as well as Payment of the UK’s Immigration Healthcare Surcharge, which permits access to the UK National Health Service (Note: you may be required to pay for dental and optical treatments and medicines prescribed by a doctor).

Program Structure for the Chatham House Academy Fellowships 2026-27:

There are three primary components to a fellow’s time:

  • Personal research Project (60%)
    • Under the supervision of a Chatham House expert, fellows plan and carry out an independent research project.
  • Research Collaboration (20%)
    • In keeping with Chatham House’s objective, fellows support their host team and participate in ongoing research projects.
  • Leadership Masterclass Program  (20%)
    • An organized course aimed at fostering professional development, global awareness, and leadership abilities.

Intensive Induction Week:

Fellows are introduced to their research teams, fellowship structure, and personal development coaching during a five-day onboarding session.

Thematic Sessions:
