Applications are invited to apply for the Erasmus Mundus MESPOM Scholarship 2026. All International applicants can apply for the scholarships in Austria, Sweden, the UK, and Greece. Applicants who want to pursue their master’s degree program in Environmental Sciences, Policy, and Management (MESPOM) are welcome to apply. Travel, visa, tuition, food, and living expenses are all covered by the scholarships for the duration of the program.

Four universities—Central European University (Austria), Lund University (Sweden), the University of Manchester (UK), and the University of the Aegean (Greece)—will host the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree program, MESPOM. The Master of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management is known as MESPOM. Graduates of MESPOM are employed globally in a variety of sectors, including government, non-profit organizations, colleges, corporations, and the United Nations.

While some stay in Europe, frequently to pursue PhDs, others decide to go back to their home countries. MESPOM is a joint master’s degree offered under the European Commission’s Erasmus Mundus program. Since 2005, MESPOM has equipped its students to tackle challenging environmental sustainability issues, particularly when doing so in a global setting. It provides a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary curriculum that pushes students to combine theory and practice for thorough examination and efficient handling of environmental problems in many social contexts.

MESPOM partners offer a unified curriculum that exposes students to a range of professional competencies (science, management, and policy) and regional perspectives (Scandinavia, the Mediterranean, and Britain). MESPOM students have access to professional and academic networks in nine countries across four continents through 11 associated partners.

Program Structure:

• Central European University (Vienna, Austria), first year (fall and winter)
• University of Manchester (UK) or Lund University (Sweden), second-year fall term

• During the summer, students participate in an internship under the guidance of MESPOM faculty.
• Thesis Term: Students can select any of the aforementioned institutions based on their interests in both academia and the workplace.

Eligibility Criteria for the Erasmus Mundus MESPOM Scholarship 2026-27:

To be considered for the Erasmus Mundus MESPOM Scholarship 2026, students must:

• International applicants are welcome to apply for the Erasmus MESPOM Scholarship.
• A strong first degree (a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, with a GPA of 3.5 or higher) is required in an
